About Chelmsford Septic

A short and deliberately unglamorous explanation of what this site is, what it is not, and why it prints sources on its numbers.

Why This Service Exists

Searching for septic help in Massachusetts is a strange experience. Half the pages that rank are national cost calculators with no idea what town you are in, a good share of the rest are lead brokers who will sell your phone number to four companies, and almost nobody prints the two things that actually matter here: the regulation the inspection is measured against, and where the money goes.

This site exists to be the version that does. It publishes the citation for the failure criteria, the local bylaw that decides whether a failed system means tying into the sewer, the town phone number that settles local questions, and cost ranges that carry a publisher and a date. Then it hands the actual work to one contractor rather than auctioning it.

The trade-off is stated plainly: this is a referral site, it is paid when work comes through it, and it owns none of the equipment. That is a real commercial interest and pretending otherwise would undercut everything else on the page. What it does not do is invent reviews, borrow photographs of somebody else's crew and imply they are ours, or tell you a system is going to pass an inspection nobody has performed yet.

Three-step diagram: one request goes to a single local septic contractor, the tank and distribution box are opened and inspected, and any Title 5 result is determined by a licensed inspector.
No auction, no dispatch fee, no truck of ours — this site takes the call and hands the work to the contractor who will actually open the tank.

What We Ask of Every Contractor

  • What is actually wrong, or what deadline you are working to
  • The age of the system and when it was last pumped, if you know
  • Whether there is a closing date attached
  • A phone number you genuinely answer

Straight Answers, Honestly Presented

There is no yard behind this domain, no pump truck, and no inspector on staff. This is a marketing site that sends work to one independent local septic contractor and is paid for doing so.

About Chelmsford Septic

Are you a septic company?

No. This site owns no pump trucks, employs no inspectors and digs nothing. It is a marketing and referral site that passes requests to one independent local septic contractor, and it is paid when work results. Any Title 5 inspection is performed and signed by an inspector licensed by the Commonwealth and by the local Board of Health — not by this site and not by whoever built it.

Why won't you tell me my system will pass?

Because it would be a claim about something that has not happened yet, decided by somebody else, against criteria set out at 310 CMR 15.303. An inspector applies that list to what they find on the day. Any site, contractor or agent promising a pass in advance is either guessing or selling, and in a state where a failed system routinely runs to five figures that is not a harmless piece of optimism. What is honestly available is having somebody look at the system before the inspection, so that problems surface while you still have options.

What happens to my phone number after I send the form?

It goes to one independent local septic contractor so they can call you back about the system, and that is the whole of it. It is not sold to a lead marketplace, not distributed to a panel of companies who will compete to ring you first, and not used to start an email sequence. The privacy page sets out the detail. If you would rather not put anything in a form at all, the phone number at the top of every page reaches the same place.
